Born and raised on a farm near Listowel, Ontario, Rebecca attended the University of Guelph to pursue her diploma in horticulture. She then attended Conestoga college to achieve her Certificate in aesthetics and skin care. After working at a spa for a few years, her passion for weddings and events evolved and she joined the team at theWeddingRing.ca. Rebecca planned executed a family wedding, with a 2-month-old in tow, and realized her true calling was planning and coordination. She attended the Wedding Planners Institute of Canada certification course and launched her business that same year. High Gloss Weddings and Events is in its 7th season and has been involved with well over 120 weddings & events.
Rebecca is highly organized, has a strict attention to detail, and the spreadsheets & checklists to match, her creative imagination, and unique way of looking at situations, along with her enthusiastic and energetic personality has earned her a reputation for one of the most in-demand planners in Southwestern Ontario. Rebecca is an active member of the Wedding Planners Institute of Canada Alumni and has the privilege to have spoken to numerous classes over the last 8 years. She feels strongly about giving back to the community and industry through volunteering, sponsorship, and the “Win A free Wedding Planner Giveaway”. Rebecca believes in advancing her education and enjoys pursuing new adventures; she is often attending courses and industry events to upgrade her skills and gain more knowledge in her field.
Rebecca is a “momma” of four, who enjoys her play time at home, snowmobiling in the winter, car shows, hiking the trails, and beach days in the summer, as well as, spending time with her family and friends. She is an avid crafter and enjoys a good DIY project, and working on her next styled shoot venture. Rebecca loves antiques and you can often find her in her spare time rummaging through antique and vintage stores. “I love cake & treat stands, candelabras, vintage glass vases and unique vintage items, I am always adding to my collections”.
