The seeds of Peekaboo Beans were planted in 2006 after founder, Traci Costa, struggled with years of unexplained infertility. In 2003, Traci and her husband were blessed to conceive their first child, Cailin through in vitro fertilization. As Traci reveled in the joys of parenting for the first time, she often found herself wondering why children’s clothing was so “fussy”. With little snaps, buttons, and hard-to-use zippers, she often felt as though she was dressing an octopus. She was puzzled by her struggle to find clothing that supported children’s developmental, physical, and social requirements. She began asking other moms: “is this a common feeling?” Turns out it was! After considerable research and countless focus groups, Traci began to understand what parents wanted and thus, Peekaboo Beans was born.
