Many small businesses aren’t using Facebook effectively. Instead of planning ahead, they sporadically update their business pages. At the end of the day, the most important thing to remember is that consistency is key!
Here are 4 ways to use Facebook effectively to help you maximize your time on social media.
Use a scheduling tool to schedule your posts. You might not have ten minutes every day; or you might not be able to be online at key times. See what time of day your posts receive the most interactions and try to post at that time; having a scheduled time when you are actually live to answer questions will also be helpful.
Don’t over post! Make your posts unique to Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, Pinterest and Twitter, and mix videos and interesting articles as your content whenever possible. Aim to make sure there isn’t too much self-promotion as well, and remember that your posts don’t have to relate to your business if they relate to your audience. Post content that your audience will care about and that they find engaging and interesting. Funny images, interesting content and facts will make them feel connected to you.
Interact & Engage
Do your best to engage with your audience. You work so hard to post relevant content and engaging posts, so when you have a comment or question posted, be sure to respond in a timely manner! It shows your audience that you are active online, and that you value the time they took to respond or post on your page.
Images & Videos Are Key
Photos and videos drive engagement on Facebook – so be sure to use this knowledge to your advantage! You don’t need a fancy camera or professional photography skills, just be sure to use relevant photos that relate to your content, your audience, and/or your brand and messaging.
