Patricia Stockie-Abdallah is an Elite+ Mompreneur member based out of Kitchener, Ontario, and is the Founder of The Homeowner Link, an online platform that designed for homeowners looking to prepare their homes for the real estate market. Patricia has taken the guesswork out of preparing a home, as she knows first hand how overwhelming the selling process can be and has made it a goal of hers to minimize this for homeowners by creating an easy step by step process to ensure they can take the lead when preparing their homes and ensure they receive the BEST return on their investments. In addition to the online platform, there is a HUGE community portion as well. All homeowners are invited to the members-only Facebook group where they can ask questions, take part in conversations, and receive continuous support during their home selling process. We are so excited to share Patricia’s Success Story!
What is your “WHY” behind your business/being an entrepreneur?
The big “WHY” question. I’ve pondered this time and time again and I’ve broken it down into 2 reasons. My biggest WHY is freedom. Being an entrepreneur allows FREEDOM like no other profession out there. I have complete responsibility for my life and what I can accomplish. There is absolutely NO ceiling blocking my way of success. Being an entrepreneur allows me to ultimately call each and every shot in my life, which I absolutely love. The second portion of my big WHY is my children. I desire to provide them the best life possible – and not just monetary value, but spiritually and emotionally as well. I desire to inspire them in life, to show them that they can accomplish anything they desire.
What inspired you to become an entrepreneur?
I’ve always had an entrepreneurship mentality – all the way back to when I was 11 years old and had a paper route. There is something deep within me that always knew this is what my calling was. Fast-forward a few years and I ended up in the corporate world. Working in the corporate world showed me the way back to my true calling. There was not one specific idea that brought me into the entrepreneurship world, however, it was more intuitive than anything.
What’s the best part about owning your own business?
Honestly, it’s the freedom to do what I want, when I want. I have the freedom to make my dreams become a reality. In addition to freedom, its growth. Every day, I push past barriers, learn new lessons and keep moving forward. It’s the constant challenge that I love.
What impact did other people/experiences have on you, and how did they help you get to where you are in your business today?
I listen to a lot of podcasts, self-help books and read a lot. I find these people that I listen to and read are instrumental in my journey as an entrepreneur. To name a few – Carrie Green, her book “She Means Business” and her membership in the Female Entrepreneur Association really expanded my view on entrepreneurship and expanded my skill set astronomically; Stu McLaren and his program “Tribe”, introduced me to the world of membership websites and literally blew my mind when I attended Tribe Live in Toronto last year; James Wedmore, his podcast “The Mind Your Business Podcast” and his online program “Business By Design” are currently helping me scale my business, think bigger and erase limiting beliefs that I placed on myself. And finally, Amy Porterfield, her podcast “Marketing Made Easy” and her program “List Builder’s Lab 2.0”, have shown me the importance of building email lists, showing originality and providing resources
What values do you believe in and live by, and how do they shine through when it comes to your role as a business owner?
The number one value I have as an entrepreneur is to be authentic. I always show my true self in my videos, YouTube Channel and Instagram. Another value that I live by is that there is no such thing as failure – you either win or learn; and to constantly move forward, no matter what. Finally, live to serve. Helping others, in any way possible is why we have been placed on this planet, we’re here to help one another, rise each other up and support.
What are you most proud of when it comes to your business/being an entrepreneur?
The number one thing I am most proud of when it comes to my business is that I’M DOING IT! I am so proud of how I am constantly putting myself out there, being raw and real.
What does the future look like for you and your business?
The future is grande. Looking forward, I intend to scale and grow. I intend to be the biggest online platform designed for homeowners and I intend to be the number one business recommended to homeowners all over North America in the real estate world. Lofty goals, however putting one foot in front of the other, every day, I know it is bound to happen.
