Holistic nutritionists believe that each individual is biochemically unique – which means that everyone has different nutritional needs. I review the entire health history to determine imbalances that may be preventing optimal health. As a CNP, I focus on working directly with clients to create a personalized nutrition and lifestyle program that helps them reach their health and wellness goals. As part of my practice, I create simple, step by step protocols involving dietary, lifestyle and supplement recommendations that are tailored to specific health needs. I focus on a wholistic approach with all clients and cover all aspects of individual health, including physical, mental and emotional health. In addition, I provide mental and emotional support and educate clients on environmental factors that may be contributing to their overall health issues. Each one of us are unique and come with a different background, belief and philosophy about food and health. I believe that supporting clients throughout the process is needed to overcome emotional and mental barriers to change – setting goals, being held accountable, and making a detailed plan is key to seeing lasting results.
What is your “WHY” behind your business/being an entrepreneur?
I want to help others learn to eat well and live well so that it can translate into them living longer, happier, healthier lives.
What inspired you to become an entrepreneur?
I had spent 18 years working in law enforcement and became very ill. I was going nowhere quickly except downhill. Specialists didn’t have the answers and the medications I was taking were making me sicker – traditional medicine temporarily masked my symptoms but the root causes of my illness were not being addressed. It was only when I became my own advocate and independently began the healing process that I was able to truly understand the root cause of my illnesses and make the necessary corrections to live a happy and healthy life. I was able to learn so much more about myself and the health of others that I felt that I needed to help others learn how to heal themselves.
What’s the best part about owning your own business?
I am in control of my own destiny!
What impact did other people/experiences have on you, and how did they help you get to where you are in your business today?
My husband – as an entrepreneur himself, he has been completely instrumental in helping me along my journey. He has provided full and complete support in my educational and business journey – he has provided strategic advice and financial advice along with operational tips. I wouldn’t be where I am today without him!
What values do you believe in and live by, and how do they shine through when it comes to your role as a business owner?
I believe in honesty and integrity. I want to provide a place where others can feel comfort and relief. I want others to feel completely safe in their journey to better health. There are no hidden motives when you step into my office – when you are with me, I am here for you only.
What are you most proud of when it comes to your business/being an entrepreneur?
I am most proud of the steps, sacrifices and hard work I’ve undertaken to get to where I am today!
What does the future look like for you and your business?
I would love to build my book of clients – because in doing so, it means I have had the opportunity to help so many more people heal themselves. Future expansion with other related modalities would be wonderful because this would provide added benefits to clients in having to travel less for complete healthcare.
