Julie Berg – Dressed to Deliver * Finalist | 2014 & 2015 Mompreneur® Award of Excellence
Winning the Mompreneur® Award of Merit in 2016 was such a huge honour. I am so grateful for the friendships and the support I have gained through this movement. The publicity and prize package I earned as the winner assisted me in growing my business by 30 per cent this year. The coaching sessions were invaluable and the prize money allowed me to invest in further coaching to move my business forward. Thank-you to the whole Mompreneurs® team for all you do for us multi-tasking mamas!
Angie Wagenaar – Isagenix * Winner | 2016 Mompreneur® Award of Merit
Becoming a finalist for the 2016 Mompreneurs® Momentum Award was truly an honour and an experience I will always remember. The National Mompreneurs® Conference gets better each and every year, and is a reflection of CEO Maria Locker’s core values, and hopes to give women optimum opportunities for growth, camaraderie, education and empowerment in business and in life.
Some of my favourite memories of the finalist process was the ongoing support and excitement from the Mompreneur® community, reflection and writing of the essay and learning about all of the inspiring missions and impact of the other finalists. The work they do through their services, products and charitable causes is astounding, pushing me to want to work even harder to make a difference in this world. I will be forever grateful to Maria and her team for their vision, hard work and multiple ‘goosebump’ moments before, during and after the conference, that will propel me to higher heights and the best version of myself that I can strive to be.
Laurie Goodman – Laurie Goodman Photography’s Life Messages * Finalist | 2016 Mompreneurs® Momentum Award

All 22 Finalists will have 2 weeks to craft and then submit a “Finalist Essay“, covering every aspect of their business. These essays are then submitted to our Judges Panel, where they will be carefully read and reviewed. All finalists will be scored according to a weighted list of criteria, including (where applicable per category):
- Product/Service Innovation: Is the product innovative and/or helpful to address the needs of the greater community? Are there key differentiators for the business which have attributed to its success?
- Growth Potential & Scalability: Does the business and/or business owner show potential for growth, whether through geographic or market expansion, product line extension, franchising, etc?
- Revenue: Does the business possess a healthy revenue stream, demonstrating that the business has moved beyond the idea stage to one able to derive revenue?
- Community Impact: Has the finalist made a meaningful and positive impact on the community through donations, leadership roles, community involvement, etc?
- Inspiration to Others: Does the finalist have an inspirational story that will inspire other moms to choose the path of entrepreneurship? Does she represent herself as a positive role model for others, including her family and peers?
Using a predetermined scoring mechanism, Mompreneur® Award Judges will each assign a score to each of the Finalists. These scores will be totaled and the nominees receiving the highest scores in their category for this stage of judging will be chosen as the associated Mompreneur® Award winners.
